Usher Speaks On ‘Very Curious Things’ He Witnessed Living w/ Diddy As A Teen In Resurfaced Clip
The internet is forever.
It’s no secret that Diddy is going through a serious storm right now. In addition to the multiple sexual misconduct allegations and lawsuits surrounding him, on Monday (Mar. 25), his Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided by the Department of Homeland Security. The following day (Mar. 26), the 54-year-old addressed the incident via a statement from his lawyer that said,
“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”
The attorney added:
“This unprecedented ambush—paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence—leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”
Despite the statement, it seems the raids have only added fuel to the negative theories centered around the “Come To Me” artist’s legacy. Most recently, internet users have dug up a 2016 appearance Usher had on “The Howard Stern Show,” where he recalled living with Diddy. For those who may be unaware, L.A. Reid – co-founder of Usher’s first label, LaFace Records – sent a 13-year-old Usher to temporarily live with Diddy in New York in the 90s to reportedly help the youngster learn the ins and outs of the music industry.
When asked in the resurfaced interview by Howard Stern if Diddy’s “place was filled with chicks and orgying nonstop,” Usher replied,
“Not really… I got a chance to see some things … I don’t know if I could indulge and even understand what I was looking at.”
He continued,
“It was pretty wild. It was crazy. There were very curious things taking place and I didn’t necessarily understand it.”
After naming dropping people such as Lil’ Kim, Biggie Smalls, and Mary J. Blige who frequented the home during his extended stay, Usher clarified his parents “didn’t know nothing” about what took place under Diddy’s roof.
When asked if he would send his own children to live with Diddy, the “Confessions” artist quickly fired back,
“Hell no!”
