Wendy Williams’ Friend Slams Lifetime Producers For Hinting At More Installments Of Controversial Docuseries: ‘Haven’t They Exploited Her Enough’
A long-time friend of Wendy Williams is calling out Lifetime over their controversial docuseries.
A woman named Regina Schell reportedly raised several concerns about the project and scoffed at the thought of more installments being created.

Regina Schell reportedly spoke about the matter during a recent interview. The woman, who said she’s been a close associate of Wendy Williams, 59, for several decades, argued that the way Lifetime exposed the celebrity in the Where’s Wendy Williams docuseries is unlike anything she believes her friend would have approved of. She also condemned the producers for suggesting that more installments of the series could be in the works. As we previously reported, the executives behind the controversial project hinted that there’s more story to be told, despite the criticism the series has faced.

Speaking on potential follow-up segments, Regina Schell stated:
“What more could they do to the woman, haven’t they exploited her enough?”
Additionally, Schell went on to point out several problematic scenes from the episodes that have already been released. Referencing the viral moment when Williams took off her wig while getting a visit from her good friend Blac Chyna, Schell stated:
“She would never want to be seen with her wig off on national television.”

To affirm her argument, Schell recalled a time at the height of Williams‘ career when she allegedly began crying after a taping. According to Schell, when she inquired what was going on, the entertainer shared she was upset about her wig looking crooked.
“She told me she was crying because her wig was crooked. She was upset about a crooked wig. Can you imagine her wig being completely off?”

Wendy Williams
The 4-part docuseries saw Williams open up about the money, health, and addiction struggles she’s been facing over the past few years. At one point during the program, the TV host’s then-manager Will Selby was speaking to Williams when he claimed to “notice” a half-empty bottle of vodka in the room that he accused her of polishing off a majority of that morning. Speaking about the scene, Schell stated:
“She was very secretive about things, like she would not have had bottles of liquor out for people to see…she would never have done that.”

Schell also argued, similar to Williams‘ court-appointed guardian Sabrina Morrisey, that Williams thought the project would turn out far different from what was actually produced, stating:
“It was supposed to be a comeback kid story, not crush Wendy and make her unproducible…It was frustrating to watch that and think that you are going to have a whole different story,”
There have been no updates from the original producers of the docuseries about if/when more installments of the series will come.
