Angela Simmons Reveals If Yo Gotti Is ‘The One’: ‘I’m Too Old To Be Playing Games’

Angela Simmons is ready to spend forever with Yo Gotti.

The reality star and entrepreneur, 36, was a guest on The Breakfast Club Friday morning (July 19) and opened up about her romance with the rapper, 43.

Angela Simmons, who debuted her romance with Yo Gotti via Instagram while bringing in the new year in 2023, first addressed her southern accent with co-hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne, and Jess Hilarious. She credited Yo Gotti, who’s from Memphis, for the change.

Later, she was asked by Charlamagne if Yo Gotti is “the one,” and she quickly answered,

“Yeah, for sure.”

When it comes to marrying Yo Gotti, who infamously proclaimed his crush on Angela Simmons in his 2016 hit “Down in the DMs,” Simmons said she “definitely” wants to marry him.

“I’m too old to be playing games, I’m in it. That’s me, I’m grown, that’s what I do.”

Also during the interview, Angela Simmons addressed her controversial gun-shaped purse that she recently wore on a red carpet. She shared that she takes gun violence very seriously, as her ex-fiancé and son’s father, Sutton Tennyson, was fatally shot and killed in 2018, and issued an apology after several people took offense to her accessory of choice.

Charlamagne asked her if her relationship with Yo Gotti influenced her decision to wear the bag, and Simmons said,

“No, I literally just like the purse. I thought the purse was cool and different. For me, I don’t want to do what everyone else is doing. I just do what I like to do. I thought that it matched the dress, and it was different than a classic clutch.”
