50 Cent Explains Why He’s Producing Diddy Documentary Despite His Mentor Dr. Dre Having His Own Abuse Allegations
Media mogul 50 Cent is responding to criticisms about his forthcoming Diddy documentary.
The “Candy Shop” rapper explained why he doesn’t have any conflicting feelings about producing the project, despite his mentor Dr. Dre having previously faced allegations of abuse in the past.

Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson was asked about the matter during a recent cover interview. When the interviewer mentioned that some have criticized him for producing a documentary covering his rival Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ recent sexual assault lawsuits while still associating with Andre ‘Dr. Dre’ Young, who has faced abuse allegations of his own, 50 Cent responded:
“It’s fine that they would feel whatever they feel because I don’t know what is true or what’s not true about that situation. And these things date back to before I was even signed to Dr. Dre.”

He added:
“But this would mean not acknowledging all the things that are positive about him, all the successes I have had and everything, because that’s the time frame we are talking about. Look, it may irritate people that have heard that. That’s crazy to think that you would not produce a doc series now based on that as well.”
As previously covered, 50 Cent has not been shy about declaring his intentions to expose all of the sexual abuse allegations against Diddy. Shortly after the REVOLT founder’s demise began to unfold, 50 stated that his production company was working on a project to uncover all the details of Diddy’s alleged abuse.

While Dr. Dre hasn’t necessarily been accused of sexual crimes, he has faced a number of domestic violence accusations. The renowned beat-maker was given a $2,500 fine, two years probation, and ordered to perform 240 hours of community service after assaulting television host Dee Barnes. Additionally, Dr. Dre was accused of repeatedly assaulting two of his children’s mothers, Michel’le and Lisa Johnson, as well as his ex-wife Nicole Young, who all claim they suffered abuse throughout their respective relationships with Dr. Dre.

Dr. Dre signed 50 to his music label in 2002, and the pair have maintained a close relationship since.
