The wins keep coming for Kendrick Lamar.
His mega-successful single “Not Like Us” has now earned the title of the top-selling song in the country for 2024, just two months after it was officially released, according to Chart Data.
Chart Data tweeted on Thursday, Aug. 1 that it is based on the “total units” sold.

It didn’t disclose exactly how many units Kendrick Lamar’s hit has sold so far.
Kendrick Lamar released the single in the heat of his viral feud with Drake on May 4. The original video, where Kendrick is heard accusing Drake of being a pedophile, has garnered 135 million views.
Kendrick dropped the official video on July 4, and that has brought in 86 million views so far.
It’s important to note that Drake denied the accusations made by Kendrick in his follow-up song “The Heart Part 6.”
Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” has become a juggernaut success this year, with chatter that it could win a Grammy Award.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. told TMZ recently,
“Obviously it’s a hot record. It’s amazing artistry, great writing. The talent on that record, it’s incredible. You got an artist that’s been nominated before. Kendrick has been successful with the organization. I don’t see a reason why it couldn’t be [nominated]. It’s all about the quality of the record. It’s really about the members. If the members like it, then it’ll be nominated.”
He continued,
“The voting members in the academy appreciate greatness. They appreciate what’s hot, what’s going on … I’d like to believe that the academy members recognize that and they vote appropriately.”
Not Like Us also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s coveted Hot 100 list and reached 2x platinum status within the first two weeks of its release.
