Update: Kehlani & Her Ex Javaughn Young-White Set The Record Straight On ‘Hurtful’ & ‘Inaccurate’ Reports About Her Being In A Cult Amid Custody Battle

Update (Aug. 7, 2024): Kehlani and her ex Javaughn Young-White are clearing the air.

In case you missed it, recent reports alleged that Javaughn Young-White was seeking custody of his and Kehlani’s daughter out of fear that the singer was in a religious cult, and that the cult leader was facing several sexual assault accusations.

Kehlani has since addressed the claim on her Instagram story, calling the allegations against her,

“hurtful, inaccurate, inappropriate and simply untrue.”

Javaughn Young-White also clarified the matter in his own post. He wrote,

“I never said that I think Santeria is a sex cult. Nor did I say that my daughter is in a sex cult. That’s factually incorrect…”

He added that he has since dropped his attorney and will be filing an amended motion soon.

He later shared a cryptic message on his Instagram story as well.

Original Story (Aug. 5, 2024):
Kehlani’s ex-boyfriend, Javaughn Young-White, has filed a paternity petition for full custody of their five-year-old daughter, Adeya Nomi.

Guitarist Javaughn (Javie) Young-White recently submitted the court documents because he believes that the singer has been a part of a religious cult for the past few years, which could put their daughter in harm’s way. He also claimed that the cult leader is facing multiple sexual assault allegations and doesn’t want to put their child at risk.

Furthermore, Javaughn Young-White alleged that the cult is negatively impacting how Kehlani parents Adeya Nomi, including influencing the 29-year-old celeb to keep their daughter away from him.

Javaughn recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam Kehlani for lying about his sexuality, and it appears he has since deleted his account.

In case you’re unaware, the two welcomed their daughter in 2019. At the time, it was alleged that Javaughn was bi-sexual and the pair were close friends that decided to have a baby together.

However, in multiple posts pulled by The Neighborhood Talk before his account went down, Javaughn said he was not gay. He also claimed Kehlani wanted her fans to believe she was a lesbian and only pushed the narrative to boost her career.

The posts said,

“No, people implying I’m a gay sperm donor when I’m a whole father is lame as hell and I’m not gonna sit here and go along with it lol. Also being outed as a “gay/queer man” against any consent and getting homophobia thrown at me for years gets me tight bro don’t push that on me”

And added,

“Mfs sat there and lied on my sexuality to protect whatever lesbian identity was working for them at the time and I caught all the flack for it and constantly get told to stfu before ruin mfs career. That’s what gets me tight bro like I said I been called gay ever it’s not that”
