LeBron James’ Fans Come To His Defense After He Was Criticized For Refusing Photo w/A Young Fan
NBA star LeBron James‘ recent encounter with a young fan has the internet debating the line of celebrity privacy.
Social media users have been sharing their critical opinions and support of the athlete after a video of him denying a kid a picture recently went viral.

LeBron James, 39, was apparently out celebrating Team USA’s mens basketball Olympic gold win when he was abruptly approached by a young man outside of a Paris nightclub. As the NBA champion exited his vehicle, alongside wife Savannah James and associates, the individual quickly asked for a picture while simultaneously coming closer the the hoop star. The young man appeared startled, however, as James assertively asked him not to come closer, stating:
“Stop, don’t do that”
James continued on without another thought, giving a little dance to the crowd before entering the club. Reacting to the video, some social media users criticized the 3X NBA champion, arguing he should’ve made time to take a picture especially since the fan was so young. One user wrote:
“He’s dancing but he can’t take a seconds to take a picture with that little boy”
While another added:
“Never meet your hero’s”

Others, however, fiercely defended James. They argued that people have to remember that even celebrities require personal space, and further questioned why the child was in that environment in the first place.
