Influencer Raymonte Defends Himself After Receiving Backlash For Saying Men Who Want To Be Famous Are Gay

Social media doesn’t seem to be feeling Raymonte’s comments surrounding men and fame.

The social media influencer recently took to X (formally Twitter) to address critics about his controversial comments made while speaking at the ENVSN FESTIVAL over the weekend. In a video circulating the internet, Raymonte can be heard onstage saying,

“Wanting to be famous is a gay boy thing. So if a man wants to be famous, he a little gay.”

Initially uploaded on TikTok, the clip was eventually reposted to X by a user who condemned his remarks. The user captioned the post,

“why y’all keep giving these tik tok personalities platforms to spread bullsh*t. i thought we all wanted straight men to be open minded but in the same breath say stupid sh*t like this. only thing that makes you gay is being with another man”

X users took to the comment section of the post to weigh in on the topic, with many agreeing that Raymonte’s comments came with a strong take.

“Why are yall so angry and uptight taking every joke and everything so serious”

In a follow-up post shared to X, Raymonte said,

“Didn’t know anyone was upset don’t care either”

He furthered,

“Tell these b*tch*s why yall really mad cause yall said I couldn’t do it look at my BLACK *SS !!!!”

In another upload, Raymonte reiterated that his comments were made solely in pure fun by posting an old clip that featured reality TV star NeNe Leakes.
