Update: Draya Michele’s Ex, NFL Player Tyrod Taylor, Wants Lawsuit Accusing Him Of Attempting To Evict Her From His L.A. Property Dismissed

Update: (Aug. 22, 2024): NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor, 34, is fighting to have a lawsuit from his ex thrown out of court.

Quick recap: In June, Draya Michele filed a lawsuit against the professional athlete for breach of contract. She claimed that during their relationship (from 2020 – 2023), Tyrod gave her and her children the green light to move into a Los Angeles-area home he purchased. Per the suit, they had a verbal agreement that when she was ready, Draya would be allowed to purchase the home from Tyrod and any contributions she made to the property would go toward the final purchasing price. However, according to the swimwear designer, Tyrod not only “surprisingly” decided to back out of their alleged deal, but he also threatened to evict her from the property. Draya reportedly wants unspecified damages for alleged emotional distress and for the court to force him to sell her the house.

However, Tyrod has claimed he can’t be in breach of contract because they never finalized the agreement. Per court documents obtained by In Touch, he said in his official response that his ex submitted an “unsigned lease, an unsigned purchase agreement, and emails evidencing at most negotiations for the possible purchase of the subject property.”

His lawyer added,

“A review of the document entitled California Residential Purchase Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions evidences the lack of signature by either party and therefore the lack of agreement between the parties.”

Tyrod has asked the court to dismiss all claims against him.

The 39-year-old recently filed a lawsuit against NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor, 34, for allegedly going back on his word. Per court documents obtained by TMZ, In August 2022, Tyrod Taylor allowed his then-girlfriend Draya Michele and her children to move into a home he purchased in the Los Angeles-area. Reportedly, the socialite and professional athlete started dating in 2020 and called things off sometime in 2023. During their relationship, when she first moved into the home, Draya Michele claims in her suit that she and Tyrod Taylor entered a verbal agreement.

However, Draya claims that when the time came for her to buy the home, her ex didn’t keep his end of their alleged deal. She says in the suit that after she offered Tyrod $2.8 million for the property he countered at $3.2 million in January 2024, and she accepted. She allegedly already invested nearly $300,000 into the home, believing it’d go toward the purchase price.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned and Draya says Tyrod not only “surprisingly” decided not to sell her the house but he’s now threatening to evict her. She’s suing for breach of contract, among other things, and is seeking unspecified damages.
