Megan Thee Stallion To Host 2024 MTV VMAs
Megan Thee Stallion is stepping into her hosting bag!
News broke this morning (Aug. 22) that the Texas native has been tapped to host the 2024 VMAs, set to air live on Wednesday, September 11th at 8 PM ET/PT from New York’s UBS Arena. Megan Thee Stallion, a 2x MTV Video Music Awards winner, is up for 5 nominations at this year’s ceremony, including Best Collaboration with fellow rapper GloRilla for their summer anthem “Wanna Be” and Best Hip Hop for her record “BOA.”
Megan Thee Stallion has many job titles other than rapper under her belt but this will mark her first time hosting an award show. However, it’s important to note that she’s no stranger to heading an entertainment event as she hosted Saturday Night Live in 2022, and that same year she also co-hosted The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Megan’s hosting duties follow her world tour and the release of her self-titled third studio album. The project dropped on June 28 and is Megan’s first album released under her independent label, Hot Girl Productions. Megan debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200.
