Rick Ross Reflects On Summer Rap Feuds w/ Drake & The Game, Says He’ll Engage In Beef If There’s ‘Something To Gain’

Rick Ross is reflecting on his summer rap feuds with Drake and The Game.

In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco on Nightcap, rapper Rick Ross discussed his recent rap feuds, and revealed what it will take for him to engage in any drama.

When asked by Shannon Sharpe about the beef, Rick Ross stated:

“I’m going to be honest. On some rap s***, it was no conspiracies. Rozay’s name was said … I’m going to jump off the porch, that’s what I do. I had some fun.”

Regarding how he decides who to respond to, Rick Ross explained:

“Is there something to gain?”

He further added,

“Not responding is a response when you’re a boss. To get a response from me, it has to be something for me to really gain.”

Tensions escalated this summer as Drake and Rick Ross traded insults. In April, a leaked diss track from Drake included the line:

“I might take your latest girl and cuff her like Ricky/ Can’t believe he’s jumping in, this n**** turning 50/ Every song that made it on the chart he got from Drizzy.”

Ross retaliated in his track Champagne Moments, addressing rumors about Drake undergoing cosmetic surgery:

“You ain’t never wanted to be a n**** anyway n****, that’s why you had an operation that make your nose looks smaller than your father nose, n****. I unfollowed you, n****, ’cause you sent a motherf***** cease & desist to French Montana, n****.”

Drake fired back, alleging in a text exchange that Ross had “gone loopy”:

“It’s coming from Rick Ross, the guy I did songs with. He’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro, hasn’t eaten in days, and it’s turned him angry and racist. He’s performing at proms for money. It’s bad. Don’t worry, we’ll handle it.”

A conflict with rapper The Game also heated up, particularly after The Game released Freeway’s Revenge, targeting Ross with lines about his weight and former career as a correctional officer:

“Cut open his stomach and stuff bricks in it. Put his body on a scale like there’s fish in it. I can see a b**** in him!”

The Game’s track included further insults, including:

“You 12 lemon pepper wings from a heart attack. Akademiks, get this n**** Ozempic starter pack.”

As these feuds continued, Ross’s approach to his responses remained strategic, choosing his battles and aiming for impactful engagement.
