Halle Berry Is Shocked That She Remains The Only Black Woman To Win An Oscar For Best Actress

Halle Berry says she’s shocked that she remains the only Black woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress. The 58-year-old actress told Marie Claire,

“I’m still eternally miffed that no Black woman has come behind me for that Best Actress Oscar. I’m continually saddened by that year after year. And it’s certainly not because there has been nobody deserving”. 

She won the trophy for “Monster’s Ball” 22 years ago.
