Diddy’s Attorney Responds To Dawn Richards’ Lawsuit That Accuses Him Of Physical & Sexual Abuse, Says She ‘Manufactured A Series Of False Claims In The Hopes Of Trying To Get A Payday’

Update (Sept. 12, 2024): Diddy is breaking his silence after being sued by former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard. 

The disgraced music mogul released a statement through his attorney, Erica Wolff, who said he was “shocked and disappointed” by Dawn Richard’s claims. Wolff added,

“In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour.”

The statement continued,

“If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.” 

Original Story (Sept. 11, 2024): Hip-hop veteran Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was hit with another disturbing lawsuit.

Danity Kane member Dawn Richards recently filed a scathing complaint against her former boss, alleging he physically and sexually abused her throughout her time working for him.

In the suit Dawn Richards, 41, noted that she first recognized Diddy’s violent nature when she auditioned for his 2004 reality series Making The Band. She claimed the REVOLT founder referred to the women as “fat,” “ugly,” “b**ches” and “h*es” during on-set auditions. Allegedly, Diddy developed a specific disdain for Dawn Richards due to her young eagerness to work with such a renowned artist.

Richards said that while under Diddy’s care, she was steadily introduced to his dark side. Per the suit, Richards witnessed Diddy abuse his girlfriends, including one specific time she allegedly saw Kim Porter leaving the studio with a bruised face. Another time a few years later she allegedly saw Diddy high on drugs, throw his ex Cassandra ‘Cassie‘ Ventura into a wall, choke her, and drag her up the stairs at his residence in L.A.

If you recall, Cassie filed her own bombshell suit against Diddy and got a swift settlement award after accusing her ex of ongoing abuse and sex trafficking.

Richards‘ suit appears to support numerous allegations against Diddy, who has faced a string of abuse and sexual assault lawsuits in the past couple of years. Further in her complaint, Richards also accused him of sexually harassing her and abusing her physically. The musician said she was at one point forced to practice 48 hours straight without sleep, resulting in loss of weight, dehydration, and an influx of rashes. She also claimed Diddy was sexually inappropriate with her on multiple occasions, one time inviting her to his home and answering the door naked, and another time where he allegedly barged into her dressing room without consent while she was nude and touched her breast and behind.

Richards also claimed that Diddy later locked her in a vehicle for two hours in a dispute so terrifying she had to call her father for help. The singer said her dad drove from Baltimore to New York to confront Diddy and threatened to call the police before the billionaire quipped back:

“Think about your daughter..think about your daughter’s career.”

It is unclear the amount in damages Richards is seeking from the suit, and it does not appear Diddy has responded to the complaint at this time.
