Nikki Garcia Files For Divorce From Artem Chigvintsev After He Was Arrested For Domestic Violence

Nikki Garcia is ending her relationship with Artem Chigvintsev after he was arrested for domestic violence.

The former WWE star filed for divorce against the Dancing with the Stars pro on Wednesday, Sept. 11, two weeks after Artem Chigvintsev was arrested for allegedly physically assaulting her.

He was booked for corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant, a felony charge. A noticeable injury on Nikki Garcia led to him being taken into custody.

Nikki Garcia didn’t waste time trying to find a divorce lawyer. According to reports, she started searching the next day and ultimately hired Evan Craig Itzkowitz.

The two share son Matteo, 4. It’s unknown if they have a prenup.

Meanwhile, Nikki, who has been spotted without her wedding ring, is at their home in Napa Valley while Artem Chigvintsev is said to be crashing with a friend.

The future ex-spouses met on Dancing with the Stars in 2017. However, at the time Nikki was with John Cena. Once they broke up, she moved on with Artem in 2018 and they got engaged two years later. Nikki and Artem got married in Paris in August 2022.

They celebrated their second wedding anniversary just days before his arrest.
