Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty Allegedly Dodging Payments On $500K Judgement Awarded To Security Guard Who Sued Them For Assault
Rap superstar Nicki Minaj is allegedly refusing to pay on a court-ordered settlement.
A security guard who sued the musician and her husband Kenneth Petty recently filed a new motion against them, accusing them of still owing him over half a million dollars.
As previously covered, Thomas Weidenmuller filed his complaint against the couple in January 2022. He claimed that while working security at a 2019 Germany performance of Nicki Minaj, 41, the rapper allegedly threw a shoe at him after he got into a verbal altercation with her over her treatment of a female staff member. Allegedly, the “FTCU” artist further incited her husband Kenneth Petty, 46, to viciously attack Weidenmuller.
Though he was initially seeking around $700,000 in damages for his medical expenses and emotional pain, earlier this year a judge reduced the amount to $503,318, which Weidenmuller was awarded as a default judgement since Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty failed to respond to the suit. According to the recent report, the plaintiff filed a memo of costs after judgment and a writ of execution against them on the 6th and 13th of this month respectively, for a total of $526,110.74.
Lawyers for Minaj and Petty have not yet responded to the suit in court, and it doesn’t appear the musician has reacted to the situation publicly at this time.
