New Movie “She Taught Love” Is Bringing Back Classic Urban Love Stories

Are we still finding love in the grocery store in 2024? She Taught Love begs us to ask the question.

Streaming now on Hulu, this Andscape (formerly known as the Undefeated network) original directed by Nate Edwards, isn’t your typical rom-com. It’s a deep dive into the lives of Frank Cooper, a hustling actor (played by Darrell Britt-Gibson), and Mali Waters, a powerhouse sports agent (played by Arsema Thomas) who is navigating a challenge that’s deeply personal and difficult her battle with cancer. The chemistry between them is real, and their relationship highlights how deep a bond can grow, even when life can be so fragile and unpredictable.


She Taught Love is raw and emotional, but also relatable as hell. The movie dives into the complexities of balancing relationships, health, and ambition. Not to mention that the way it is shot helps drive that home.
