Halle Berry Says She Doesn’t ‘F***ing Believe’ Eric Benét’s Sex Addiction Claims

Halle Berry Says She Doesn’t ‘F***ing Believe’ Eric Benét’s Sex Addiction Claims
It looks like Halle Berry is putting her ex-husband Eric Benèt on blast.
During an appearance on Armchair Expert, the Oscar-winning actress and host Dax Shepard discussed addiction. Asked if she’s “attracted to addicts,” Halle Berry candidly said,
“Well I had one husband who said he was a sex addict but I don’t f*ck*ng believe sh*t.”
She did clarify that although her father struggled with alcohol addiction, she has “not been attracted to” addicts.
Halle Berry and Eric Benét married in 2001 after two years of dating. Their divorce was finalized in 2005.
Though she didn’t name-drop him in the interview, there was speculation that he checked into rehab for sex addiction back in 2002, and speculation swirled that he cheated on Berry due to his addiction.
He denied the claims, telling ABC News in 2004,
“I am not a sex addict. I am a person who … through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes.”
