‘Euphoria’ Star Sydney Sweeney Now 1 Of Her Generations’ Top Earners After Previously Sharing She Didn’t Make Enough To Cover An Acting Break
Things are looking up for Sydney Sweeney!
TMZ reports that thanks to the “Euphoria” star’s impressive major film paydays, she’s now one of the highest-paid actresses of her generation. Sweeney recently landed a $7.5 million salary for Lionsgate’s upcoming adaptation of “The Housemaid.” This nice earning is a few million shy from her HBO series co-star Zendaya, who earned $10 million for her film “Challengers.”

This also marks a great jump from how much Sweeney was paid for 2023’s “Anyone but You.” Reportedly, she earned $2 million for the film, with an added $250,000 for her executive producer position.
It’s clear that Hollywood is loving Sweeney, who only started acting professionally in 2009. If you recall, in 2022 the now 27-year-old revealed that despite being on a hit TV series, she wasn’t earning enough to take an extended break from acting. She previously shared,
“If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have income to cover that. I don’t have someone supporting me, I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help. … They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.”
She added,
“The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”
