According to reports, the media personality’s “Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act” was officially passed by the U.S. Senate, with all 100 senators voting in favor. The landmark bill reportedly aims to protect kids in youth residential treatment facilities, a cause deeply personal to Paris, who has bravely shared her own painful experiences with abuse at a young age.

The bill still needs approval from the U.S. House of Representatives before heading to the president’s desk, but Paris is celebrating this huge step forward. She shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a video of her lobbying and testifying before Congress.
