L.A. Sparks Acquire Kelsey Plum In Blockbuster Trade

All-Star guard Kelsey Plum is joining the Los Angeles Sparks in a three-team trade that sends Jewell Loyd to the Las Vegas Aces. The Sparks traded Li Yueru and the No. 2 draft pick to Seattle, receiving the No. 9 pick in return.
Kelsey Plum, a two-time WNBA champion with the Aces, averaged 17.8 points and 4.2 assists last season. Jewell Loyd, a six-time All-Star and 2023 scoring champion, requested a trade from Seattle last month.
The deal reunites Kelsey Plum with former teammate Dearica Hamby and brings her closer to her California roots, bolstering the Sparks’ young core.
