White House Considers Proposals To Boost Birthrate, Including $5K Baby Bonus & Menstrual Cycle Education Program For Women

The White House is exploring ways to reverse the U.S. birthrate decline.

According to The New York Times, several proposals are on the table, including offering a $5,000 “baby bonus” to every American mother after delivery. Other suggestions include reserving 30% of scholarships for the Fulbright program for married applicants or those with children, and potential government-funded programs to educate women about their menstrual cycles, helping them better understand when they are ovulating and able to conceive.

This isn’t entirely surprising, as back in 2023, Trump stated, “We will support baby booms and baby bonuses for a new baby boom,” with VP J.D. Vance also facing criticism for slighting child-free Americans.
