Shedeur Sanders Slide In NFL Draft Sparks Debate About Whether Or Not He’s Being Colluded Against Like Colin Kaepernick
The controversy surrounding Shedeur Sanders’ NFL draft experience has many people debating whether he’s facing unfair treatment — similar to what former pro athlete Colin Kaepernick endured.
Social media has been buzzing after Shedeur, initially projected as a first-round pick, was surprisingly passed over by several teams before finally being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round.

Sports journalist Stephen A. Smith didn’t hold back, blasting the NFL and sharing that he agreed with a message he received that said:
“This is a bad look for the NFL. This feels like Kaepernick-level collusion.”
Smith emphasized that it seems the league isn’t drafting purely based on talent, despite their claims to the contrary.
Adding fuel to the fire, rumors are swirling that some team owners were allegedly turned off by Shedeur’s confident attitude at the NFL Combine, labeling it as “boasting” — which may have hurt his draft prospects.
Meanwhile, not everyone is on board with the comparison. Some fans argue that linking Shedeur’s situation to Kaepernick’s is disrespectful to everything Kaep stood for, given the gravity of his protest against racial injustice.
If you recall, Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL after kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality.
