Update: Gilbert Arenas & Laura Govan’s Son Alijah Arenas Released From Hospital After Cybertruck Crash: ‘His Spirit Remains Strong’
Alijah Arenas is back home after surviving a Cyber truck crash that left him hospitalized and in an induced coma.
In a new statement shared with TMZ, the Arenas and Govan families confirmed that the 18-year-old USC commit is “now resting comfortably under close watch.” They added,
“While his journey to full recovery is just beginning, his spirit remains strong, and he is surrounded by love and support.”

Alijah, the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas and reality TV personality Laura Govan, was driving the truck last Thursday (Apr. 24) when it slammed into a fire hydrant and a tree before catching fire.
Though he was initially intubated due to high carbon dioxide levels, loved ones shared earlier this week that he’s now able to walk and talk again. Thankfully, he suffered “no major injuries.”
Wishing Alijah a full and speedy recovery.
