Reports surrounding former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, 73, and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson recently sent social media into a frenzy, but the University of North Carolina is shutting the rumors down.

The buzz began after an episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out, where the sports journalist claimed he spoke to a source within UNC, where Belichick currently serves as head coach. According to Torre, the insider said Hudson had been banned from the football facilities due to concerns about her influence on Belichick’s legacy.

“There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina, but Bill’s legacy, reputation—everything he has built and worked for over decades,” the source allegedly said.

However, UNC wasted no time refuting the claim. In an official statement, the school said:

“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome at the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

Belichick and Hudson’s relationship has already stirred public debate, especially after an awkward CBS interview last month where Hudson intervened to shut down a question about how the couple met.

When asked about the moment afterward, Belichick responded that they share both a personal and professional relationship, stating that she was simply “doing her job.” The comment seemingly confirmed speculation that Hudson, who reportedly uses a signature and acts in an unofficial PR role, serves as a brand manager for the NFL icon.
