Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Pushes To Eliminate State Home Taxes: ‘You Should Own Your Property Free & Clear’

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is once again pushing to eliminate property tax for the state.

During a recent roundtable, he shared his thoughts on residents owning their homes without having to pay additional taxes.

“You should own your property free and clear,” Ron DeSantis said. “I think to say that someone that’s been in their house for 35 years has to keep owing the government money, you know…you don’t own your home, if that’s the case.”
