Original ‘Blues Clues’ Host Steve Burns Launches Adult Podcast As A Grown-Up Sequel To The Beloved Children’s Show: ‘We’re Still Searching, Still Learning’
Steve Burns, the beloved original host of “Blue’s Clues,” is launching a new podcast for adults called “Alive,” debuting fall 2025 via Lemonada Media.
Now 51, Burns says the show is a “continuation” of the curiosity-driven spirit of “Blue’s Clues,” but for grown-ups navigating life’s big questions. “Alive” will explore themes like mortality, masculinity, loneliness, and success.
“There are a thousand podcasts you can listen to, this is one that listens back,” Burns said. “We’re still searching, still learning, still trying to connect… there’ll be less talking furniture, sure, but we’re still going to have a lot of fun along the way.”
The podcast was inspired by Burns’ viral 2021 video marking the show’s 25th anniversary, where he reconnected with millions of nostalgic fans.
“Adults need to be shepherded through life just as much as kids do,” added Lemonada CEO Jessica Cordova Kramer. “Steve is the perfect person to do it.”
