Trump Reportedly Invited Barack Obama To Play Golf During Viral Friendly Exchange At Jimmy Carter’s Funeral
Details about the viral exchange that showed Donald Trump and Barack Obama sharing a laugh at Jimmy Carter’s funeral earlier this year have surfaced.
According to a new book, 2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America, Trump reportedly invited Obama to play a round of golf during their brief, viral interaction at the Jan. 9 funeral. An excerpt from the book, written by three Washington Post reporters who covered the 2024 election, reads:
“He sat next to Barack Obama and invited him to play golf, enticing him with descriptions of Trump’s courses around the world.”

However, forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman suggested their body language may have masked a more serious conversation. Freeman claimed that Trump told Obama, “We have to find a quiet place sometime. This is a matter of importance.” Obama reportedly nodded in response.
While it’s unclear whether the two ever followed up, Trump later reflected on the moment in an interview, saying,
“I didn’t realize how friendly [Obama] was… and we probably do [like each other].”
Do you think Trump and Obama were just having a friendly chat, or was something deeper going on?
