Fires Back At Critics Accusing Her Of Marrying The Star For Money:
‘I’m Richer!’
Raven-Symoné’s wife, Miranda Maday, is clearing the air about speculation that she married the TV and movie star for financial gain.
During a previous episode of their podcast, Tea Time with Raven and Miranda, featuring guest comedian Robby Hoffman, Miranda recalled how, when she and Raven first met, the actress was “bummed” to learn she wasn’t marrying a Jewish girl and “wasn’t going to get an upgrade.”
Hoffman then pointed out that Raven is “rich,” implying she didn’t need to marry into money, to which Miranda chimed in,
“Not as rich as me.”
She went on to express frustration over the frequent assumptions that she married Raven for her wealth, saying:
“Part of why I feel like I have to stand like 10 toes down about [it] and speak with my whole chest is because so many people think I married Raven just for money.”
When Hoffman urged her to say it loud and proud, Miranda doubled down, laughing as she declared:
“I didn’t marry Raven for money, I’m richer!”
Are you surprised to hear that Miranda is more wealthy than Raven?
