California Parents Who Claimed Their 7-Month-Old Was Kidnapped Officially Charged w/ Murder
The parents of a 7-month-old baby who was reported kidnapped have been charged with murder.
Jake and Rebecca Haro of Cabazon, California, were also charged with making a false report to law enforcement. Their arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, at Riverside County Superior Court. Investigators believe the baby, Emmanuel Haro, is dead and that the alleged kidnapping outside a Yucaipa sporting goods store on August 14 did not happen.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said, “During the investigation thus far, numerous interviews have been conducted, search warrants have been served, digital and electronic evidence has been collected and closely analyzed. Based on the evidence, investigators determined a kidnapping in Yucaipa did not occur. It is believed Emmanuel is deceased and the search to recover his remains is ongoing.”
