Cardi B Accused Of Spitting On, Body-Shaming & Using Racial Slurs Against Security Guard Suing Her For Assault [VIDEO]
Cardi B faced a slew of accusations as her civil trial for allegedly assaulting a security officer kicked off on Monday (August 25).
The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom over a 2018 incident involving a former security guard who claimed Cardi physically and verbally attacked and humiliated her. At the time of the alleged incident, Cardi was four months pregnant with her eldest daughter, Kulture.

Emani Ellis, the guard suing Cardi, testified that she first spotted the rapper at a Beverly Hills OB-GYN office and casually said, “Wow, that’s Cardi B.” According to Ellis, that comment triggered Cardi, who allegedly got in her face and accused her of trying to expose a private medical visit.
Ellis claimed Cardi “took a swing” at her, hurled insults about her weight and job, spat on her, and used racial slurs. She also testified that Cardi used a long fingernail to cut her cheek during the confrontation.
While Ellis said she later lost her job, she admitted in court that Cardi didn’t directly get her fired, though she had allegedly threatened to. The termination, according to Ellis, was officially framed as a HIPAA violation.
What are your thoughts on Ellis’ testimony so far?
