Gospel Singer Le’Andria Johnson Recalls Blacking Out & Waking Up Handcuffed Amid Struggles w/ Alcohol: ‘I Took 17 Shots Back To Back’

Gospel artist Le’Andria Johnson is opening up about her battle with alcohol abuse.

In a recent conversation with Kandi Burruss on her podcast Speak On It, Le’Andria reflected on previously turning to alcohol to cope with a hard time in her life and how, at one point, things spiraled out of control.

According to Le’Andria, after taking around “17 shots back to back,” she blacked out and woke up handcuffed to a hospital bed, having to be sedated. She explained that alcohol “became a pillow” during one of the lowest moments in her life.
