Stephen A. Smith Apologizes To Rep. Jasmine Crockett After Slamming Her For Criticizing Trump
#StephenASmith is sorry.
The sports commentator recently came under fire after publicly criticizing Texas Congresswoman #JasmineCrockett, questioning how her rhetoric serves her constituents. Smith argued that Crockett’s focus shouldn’t be on #PresidentTrump, saying, “I’m like, is that go help your district in Texas? Aren’t you there to find a way to get stuff done as opposed to just being an impediment to what Trump wants?… That ain’t work!”
Stephen faced intense backlash, with some even calling for him to be taken off the air. In the latest episode of his political talk series, he made it clear that it’s his show and he’ll say what he wants, but that doesn’t mean he’s “insensitive” or doesn’t care about the Black community. He continued, “I can look Jasmine Crockett in the face and say, ‘I’m sorry for any kind of noise I caused in your direction because she is accomplished, and she is smart, and she does have an incredible, incredible challenge working in this political climate on #CapitolHill.”
Should Jasmine accept his apology? ??
