“Love & Hip Hop” Alum Masika Kalysha Confirms Passing Of Estranged Husband Jamar Champ Following Wrong-Way Car Crash

The reality TV star is mourning the de@th of her estranged husband, #JamarChamp, who was k!lled in a wrong-way car crash in #Houston early on Tuesday (Oct. 28). According to reports, Champ was driving a Tesla Cybertruck when it was struck head-on by a silver BMW travelling the wrong way on the Katy Freeway; the Cybertruck then collided with a Freightliner 18-wheeler. Champ was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced de@d at 38. The driver of the BMW involved in the crash was also k!lled.
#Masika confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement shared with TheShadeRoom, describing Champ as the “father/stepfather of my beautiful daughters.” She also asked the public for “respect and understanding” as her family navigates this devastating loss. Masika and Champ married in 2021 but separated two years later in 2023. They welcomed one daughter together, 3-year-old Amari.
