Colman Domingo Hopes Paris Jackson Will Eventually Love’ The Michael Jackson Biopic After She Claims The Script Is Riddled w/ ‘Full-Blown Lies’

Colman Domingo is hoping that #ParisJackson will eventually come around to supporting the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael, despite her criticism of the project.

Last year, Michael’s daughter Paris pushed back after Colman, who portrays Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, in the film, allegedly said that she and her brother Prince were helping behind the scenes and were “very much in support of our film.” Sharing her side, Paris said she actually had no involvement with the project and claimed the script was “inaccurate” and filled with “full-blown lies.” She added that she offered feedback, but it was ultimately ignored.

In a recent interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine, #ColmanDomingo explained that his initial comments about Paris were taken out of context and didn’t accurately reflect what he meant. After Paris publicly addressed the situation, he revealed that he reached out to clarify things in a direct message, which Paris later hearted. He added, “I hope that she eventually loves the tribute that we made about her father.” Domingo has maintained that the project was created as a respectful portrayal of the late pop icon’s life and legacy. Michael is set to hit theaters on April 24.
