Claressa Shields Blasts MVP Over Event Ban-Claims The Company Tried To Sign Her Before Alycia Baumgardner Altercation
Claressa Shields is firing back after Most Valuable Promotions banned her from future events, making it clear she is unbothered by the decision.
“Now To MVP, y’all tried to sign me, I declined! You can not ban me from a place I didn’t want to be! I can go fight anywhere in the world Tomorrow! So any one who think this weak a** ban matters it don’t !” Shields wrote on X.
She continued, “Those false statements will be addressed too. Y’all fighter threatening me and then playing victim is insane. MVP y’all lying on me is NOTHING NEW!”
MVP reportedly issued the ban after Shields was accused of striking Alycia Baumgardner during a heated exchange in a private VIP area at an MVP event in Inglewood, California. The promotion said Shields was barred “until further notice,” citing a zero-tolerance policy for physical confrontations outside the ring.
Shields also accused MVP of repeatedly disrespecting her legacy and trying to “assassinate” her character.
