‘Euphoria’ Actress Nika King Says Her Mom Joked Fans Waited “Three Years” Just To Hear Her Say One Line
Nika King is laughing through the awkwardness after her long-awaited return to “Euphoria” came with far less dialogue than expected.
The actress, who plays Rue’s mother Leslie opposite Zendaya, appeared in Sunday night’s episode, “Stand Still and See,” during a phone call where Rue opened up about trying to make better decisions. However, King’s onscreen moment was brief, with Leslie only saying, “I love you, Rue.”
After the episode aired, King reacted on Instagram.
“I just watched the episode that I’ve been promoting all week — and my mom over here is clowning me!” King said with a laugh. “She said the internet waited all this time for me to just say one line.”
Her mother added, “three years,” referencing the long gap between seasons.
“Y’all I can’t do nothing but laugh at this,” King continued. “You better be glad I have a sense of humor. You better be glad I’ve got thick skin.”
TJB Crew, have you been tuned in to “Euphoria?”
