[EXCLUSIVE] Oprah – Hit With Fed Lawsuit Over Chicken Wing Reality Show
Oprah Winfrey has been with a new federal lawsuit, in which she has been accused of stealing the name behind her new reality show about chicken wings. The production company suing says viewers are going to be confused because their show is also about CHICKEN WINGS.
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, a production company named RAGS TO RICK PRODUCTIONS filed a federal lawsuit against OWN network on August 15th, accusing Oprah’s company of stealing their trademark.
The suit explains that they produced a reality show entitled “Wing-Men” which focuses on an entrepreneur named Rick Smiciklas who owns over 100 chicken wing restaurants. Their show premiered in December 2013 online and that they are currently filming more episodes. The show has even caught the eye of American television channels who want to air the show.
