Omari Hardwick: Denzel Washington Saved Me From Homelessness [VIDEO]
In a recent interview with The Real’s Loni Love, Omari Hardwick recalls his struggles at the beginning of his acting career. The 42-year-old star of the hit show ‘Power’ recalls how Pauletta and Denzel Washington helped him through hard times. While a substitute teacher, he says that he met Denzel through his son, who he was mentoring. He landed a Spike Lee show, but later hit a dead end after the project was cancelled. He says of the Washington’s:
They perfectly and appropriately didn’t help me out. They gave me shelter when I didn’t have a place to stay or whatever but they sort of just allowed me to be close enough to the family and so I sort of transitioned into getting an agent…
