Irv Gotti Confirms Murder Inc. TV Series Underway
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, the story of Murder Inc. is coming to the small screen. During a recent interview with theJasmineBRAND.com correspondent @_thetaylort, Irv Gotti revealed that a TV series, about Murder Inc. Records is underway. He explained,
I did not want to do a biopic. I needed longer. So we’re doing the TV series and I can truly give you the story. With Paramount. I did the deal already with Paramount.
He added,
We didn’t go to a network yet, so I don’t want to say. But I have a couple favorites in mind. It’s going to be a Rated-R network.
Murder Inc. Records is a record label founded by Irv Gotti and his brother Chris Gotti. After helping Def Jam with the success of DMX & Ja Rule, Russell Simmons gave Irv Gotti his own label under Def Jam. Murder Inc was launched and in 1999, Murder Inc. released its first album, Venni Vetti Vecci by Ja Rule. Later, the label signed Charli Baltimore and Ashanti. The label would soar to new heights from mid 2001 to early 2003.
