Amber Rose Apologizes After Offensive Philly Comments: I didn’t mean that in a f*cked up way.
Amber Rose Apologizes For Philly Comments
Amber Rose is addressing the latest controversy that’s surrounding her. This week, a clip surfaced of her commenting that some people from Philadelphia aren’t “traditionally attractive.” See the clip.
After receiving backlash, the feminist and Slut Walk advocate posted a clip on social media explaining her comments and apologizing. She explained,
I know that people like really want me to be a superficial b*tch but I’m just not that person. I find beauty in everyone. I think everyone is beautiful….Unfortunately, it’s not easy doing interviews and always saying things the way you really want to articulate.
Amber also clarified,
I wasn’t saying that’s how I felt, I was saying that’s how people treated me and it just didn’t come off properly in the interview.
She added,
And I just watched the clip and I’m cringing because I’m so NOT that girl. Interviews aren’t easy….Sometimes when you articulate yourself you just f*ck it up. I say all that to say that I think everyone is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful in their own way. And I’m about body positivity and loving yourself. So, I definitely didn’t mean that in a really f*cked up way and I know it came across that way…That wasn’t my intentions at all. And I was just speaking on personal experiences and how people treated me and I’m sorry that it came off that way.
