Taraji P. Henson Shades Ryan Seacrest On Oscars Red Carpet [VIDEO]
Taraji P. Henson Shades Ryan Seacrest
Did Taraji P. Henson shade Ryan Seacrest during her red carpet interview for the 90th Academy Awards? While interviewing her, Seacrest asked her about Mary J. Blige’s two Oscar nominations, since the actress will present Blige’s performance during the show, the actress responded stating,
The universe has a way of taking care of good people.
Henson paused and smiled at Seacrest, and then said, “Know what I mean?” and playfully touched him under the chin. See the clip.
Another reporter said that Henson said to the next interviewer,
I’m great now that I’m in your company.
Seacrest has been accused of sexual misconduct by his former stylist Suzie Hardy. The TV host and producer adamantly denies any wrongdoing. Hardy accused Seacrest of sexually harassing her over the six years that she was employed by E! from 2007-13, including grabbing her crotch multiple times. The network’s investigation into the matter, conducted by outside counsel, found “insuffient evidence” to support Hardy’s claims.
In a statement last week, Seacrest accused Hardy of attempting to blackmail him.
Much has been said about the #MeToo and Times Up movement(s) and the importance of providing women and men with the opportunity to share their stories of workplace misconduct, in an effort to change our culture and the systemic inequalities that exist. I absolutely support this cause unequivocally and applaud all the brave souls who have come forward to share their stories. Sadly, last fall I became one of the accused, which I promptly revealed proactively to the network involved and to the public. And to be equally clear, those accusations were then investigated by an independent third-party over the course of a two-month process and involved dozens of interviews that included me, the accused and countless others. Ultimately, my name was cleared. I eagerly participated in the investigation in order to demonstrate my innocence because I know my truth, and I believe in due process.
Seacrest has yet to address Taraji’s alleged shade.

He was accused…not convicted of anything. Anybody can say anything about anyone. That does not mean that it is true. It is frustrating for me to see men losing their jobs, livelihoods and families, over accusations. Should’t these accusations be played out fully in court before taking action against them? People do lie. It’s been proven. I don’t think it’s fair to fire someone over an accusation.
