Michelle Obama Shares Sneak Peak Of Upcoming Memoir
Our former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, gave her social media followers a sneak peek from her upcoming memoir, “Becoming Michelle Obama.” With an adorable family picture of she and her parents, Fraser and Marian, she posted:
Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing some photos and memories from my book, BECOMING. My father, Fraser, taught me to work hard, laugh often, and keep my word. My mother, Marian, showed me how to think for myself and to use my voice. Together, in our cramped apartment on the South Side of Chicago, my family helped me see the value in our story, in my story, and in the larger story of our country.
She shared some more vintage cuteness with a photo of she, mother, and brother for a Mother’s Day tribute. She captioned:
It’s impossible for any picture to truly capture what my mother, Marian, has meant to me. Happy #MothersDay to all of the moms out there, and especially to my own.
As previously reported, “Becoming Michelle Obama” will share Michelle’s personal experiences growing up in Chicago, attending Princeton University and Harvard Law Schools, and her time in the White House. She explained,
Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life. In this book, I talk about my roots and how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.
“Becoming Michelle Obama” will hit stores on November 13, 2018.
