Roseanne Barr Calls Valerie Jarrett A B*tch In Bizarre Video
Roseanne Barr Explains Valerie Jarrett Tweet With Bizarre Video
Comedienne Roseanne Barr has been laying fairly low since her racist tweet controversy. The tweet attacked President Barack Obama’s former adviser, Valerie Jarrett, claiming Jarrett is a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood, and “Planet of the Apes.” Comparing African Americans to apes is widely recognized as a racist attack.
A bizarre YouTube video was posted to Roseanne’s account, showing Barr on a set of some kind. In the background, you can hear an interviewer describing to her what kind of video they’re creating. Barr interrupts his instructions, saying:
I’m trying to talk about Iran, I’m trying to talk about Valerie Jarrett and the Iran deal.
Then, Roseanne, 65, proceeds to yell:
I thought the b***h was white, g*d damnit, I thought the b***h was white, f**k!
Was this whole video staged to apply comic relief as an explanation for the vile tweet that costs her career? Or is this actual footage of the comedienne unraveling? The hosts of ABC’s The View weighed in on the video. Fellow comedienne Whoopi Goldberg commented:
I hope this is something she’s done to see how many people pick up on it… cause I would be very sad if her team allowed her to put that out there and didn’t say – look, this doesn’t really help anything. I’m hoping this is her fooling with everybody.
Despite her recent brush with racism, host Sunny Hostin, took a more sympathetic approach. She said:
It just made me sad. I saw someone who is perhaps unraveling – someone who isn’t surrounded by people that she needs. Someone needs to help her.
