Oscars Will Go Without A Host This Year
The Oscars will go without a host this year, according to reports. If true, this will be the first time in history that the Academy Awards will rely on A-list celebs to introduce segments instead of a single host. Producers will select the presenters, according to insiders. Just six weeks from airing live, the ceremony will take place on Feb. 24th.
Earlier today, Kevin Hart made it absolutely clear that he will not host the awards show. Initially, Hart had been announced as this year’s host, but was faced with backlash, after homophobic tweets and jokes resurfaced. During his GMA appearance he stated,
“I’m not hosting the Oscars this year,”
When asked if he will host in the future he said,
“It’s hard to predict what can happen.”
