John Singleton Laid To Rest In Private Ceremony, Obituary Shared
John Singleton was laid to rest on Monday, in Los Angeles with a private ceremony, closed to the public. The famous director’s obituary showcased beautiful pictures of him.
A poem titled, Don’t Worry, was featured with the words:
Don’t worry about me, Loved Ones
About my sorrows, nor my pain.
There was a chariot sitting and waiting for me,
It was marked in Jesus’ Name.
The service was held at Angelus Funeral Home Chapel. Afterward, Taraji P. Henson posted a heartbreaking social media message.
Reportedly, tshe skipped this year’s MET Gala to attend. Other attendees reportedly included Tyrese, Ice Cube, Morris Chestnut and Nia Long.
According to reports, Singleton died from an acute ischemic stroke. Contributing factors in his death were intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension.
Reportedly, he had just come back from Costa Rica when he suffered a stroke at a hospital. He had checked himself into the hospital after suffering weakness in his leg last month.
Singleton was survived by his seven children: daughters Justice, Hadar, Cleopatra, Selenesol, Issis, and sons Maasai and Seven. He was 51.
