Issa Rae Responds After Being Cursed Out by “Insecure” Fan for Taking Too Long to Premiere New Season
“Insecure” fans are impatient! It’s been almost a year since the hilarious HBO sitcom premiered it’s third season, and fans are hungry to find out what happens next in Issa Rae‘s character’s crazy life. So much so that fans are getting aggressive with the show creator on social media!

Issa Rae
Twitter user @__Zcs called Issa out:
“@IssaRae f*ck is you doing where is insecure? You on bullsh*t.”
Issa hilariously acknowledged that the highly anticipated fourth season is about to begin filming:
“Hey kind sir, we’re still writing. But we start shooting in a week and a half, if you can believe that. Alright, be well and stay long!”

Ha! This isn’t the first time fans have gotten put in their place by the HBO crew. Showrunner Prentice Penny explained that keeping their season size at eight episodes helped to get the show to viewers more quickly. But, the fourth season will feature 10 episodes! Yes!
It’s not that we don’t want to give y’all what you want but it takes 10 months to make a season. Adding more episodes and making them longer will actually take MORE time to get to you. That’s an additional 4 months to make inbetween breaking stories, filming and editing. pic.twitter.com/53Lzl6s25l

This season had to be pushed back due to Issa Rae’s forging acting career in movies, such as “The Hate U Give,” and “Little.”
Season four of “Insecure” is scheduled to premiere in 2020!
