Wale Is Frustrated At Album Promotion: This Is How They Try To Make Me Look Crazy

Wale is not pleased with what appears to be plans for the roll-out for his new album, Wow…That’s Crazy.

Late Monday (Sept. 30th), he shared that he had just found out that he would be releasing his album cover later in the evening.

He continued to express his frustration, noting that all the features were released two weeks before the release.

The 35-year-old rapper went on to list how they are trying to make him look crazy and detailed the errors that have taken place thus far in releasing his upcoming album. He also pointed the finger as someone internally.

He ended his comments on a positive note writing:

Ight I got a lot to be mad about right now .And to be honest I’m irritated but I’m not gon put no more negative energy in the air .. y’all showerin me wit love and I’m not goin let that be in vain . #everythingisFINE right? Ok then. Y’all know who on the album now .. let’s get it

Wale first rose to prominence in 2006, when his song “Dig Dug (Shake It)” became popular in his hometown. Producer Mark Ronson discovered Wale in 2006 and signed him to Allido Records in 2007. While signed to that label, Wale released several mixtapes and appeared in national media.

In 2008, Wale signed with Interscope Records for $1.3 million, and his debut album Attention Deficit was released in 2009 with the singles “Chillin”, “Pretty Girls”, and “World Tour”. In early 2011, Wale signed with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, where members of the label released a compilation album, Self Made Vol. 1 on May 23, 2011. His second studio album, Ambition was released November 1, 2011, with mixed reviews. His third studio album, The Gifted, was released on June 25, 2013, to mainly positive reviews; it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His second Billboard number one album The Album About Nothing was released on March 31, 2015.

In 2018, Wale released three E.P.s titled It’s Complicated, Self-Promotion and Free Lunch.
