‘Mob Wives’ Cast Member Drita D’Avanzo & Her Husband Arrested, Facing Drugs & Weapons Charges
Former VH1 “Mob Wives” star Drita D’Avanzo along with her husband Lee D’Avanzo are ending 2019 with some serious legal woes.
The couple’s home in Staten Island was raided, and police allegedly came across weapons and drugs while there, according to Page Six Friday (Dec. 20).
The two were taken into custody for a handful of charges Thursday evening (Dec. 19), such as criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17. Drita D’Avanzo and Lee D’Avanzo have two daughters. They were arraigned in Staten Island Criminal Court Friday (Dec. 20).
It didn’t take long for Drita D’Avanzoto make her $15,000 bail. But her husband’s was set at $100,000 as he was remanded on a fugitive warrant that was outside of New Jersey. It was on a separate case, but one that is still connected to the current one, according to reports.
Still, Lee D’Avanzo’s requested the judge give a “reasonable bond,” claiming that he wasn’t a “flight risk.” He also pointed out Lee’s “whole family” was in court.
The judge ultimately gave the couple a limited order of protection concerning their 12-year-old daughter.
As for what police allegedly discovered during the raid, reports say there were two Smith & Wesson firearms: a 9mm and a .38 caliber gun, one in a bedroom and another in a kitchen. Authorities also allegedly found lots of marijuana, pills including painkillers and two scales that reportedly still had residue on them.
The marijuana was allegedly found in the basement, as well as in a kitchen cabinet, which, according to reports
“was accessible to defendants’ 12-year-old daughter.”
Drita starred in the VH1 show in 2011 until it went off the air in 2016.
