Antonio Brown Turns Himself In To Ft. Lauderdale Police Following Arrest Warrant
Former NFL star Antonio Brown’s troubles have come to a head. The former New England Patriot surrendered to Ft. Lauderdale Police Thursday (Jan. 23rd) on multiple burglary charges, according to reports.
The former NFL star was issued an arrest warrant following an incident between AB, his trainer, Glenn Holt, and a moving company truck driver. According to reports, AB and his trainer allegedly battered the moving truck driver Tuesday (Jan. 21), after AB refused to pay a $4,000 fee to the moving company for their services.
AB allegedly threw a rock at the company’s truck, causing damages to the vehicle, and allegedly physically assaulting the driver. When Hollywood, Florida Police arrived at Antonio Brown’s home, Holt was arrested on felony burglary and battery charges and released on bond.
AB is currently being held at Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale on charges of felony burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief.
The former NFL Pro-Bowler has run into a number of issues since the beginning of the year. He recently live-streamed the police outside of his home during a dispute with his ex and mother of his children, Chelsie Kyriss. He accused her of trying to steal his Bentley.
Suspended NFL Star @AB84 just had an anti-white, anti-police outburst that he streamed live. The worst part is he did this in front of 2 little kids. As I said months ago, Antonio Brown needs psychiatric help and he needs it now. pic.twitter.com/dH3QXkdCcs

While on the scene, Hollywood Police were greeted by the former NFL star with his over-the-top profanity aimed at the officers, dropping a staggering 14 f-bombs in the first 21 seconds of video. As the video continues, Chelsie Kyriss and two young kids take a seat in the back of a police car as AB screams outside of his front door,
“I’m telling you this is my f—–g car!”
Several neighbors reportedly told ESPN they’ve been fed up with the antics coming from the AB’s home. In addition, just two days after AB’s shocking actions, Public Information Officer Christian Lata says the HPD’s athletic youth league cut all ties with him following his online rant. She said in a statement Jan. 15th:
“We made the decision to sever ties between Mr. Brown and the Hollywood Police Athletic League. We did not want our youth to be subject to this type of behavior nor emulate the actions of Mr. Brown.”
Last year, AB was accused of multiple accusations of sexual harassment claims from former employees. The claims eventually led to his release from the New England Patriots after just ten days on their roster. He also accused the New Orleans Saints of using his likeness for publicity when it offered him a workout amid his drama with the NFL.
UPDATE (10:00AM EST):
AB was granted bail following his Friday morning (Jan. 24th), hearing and was released from jail on bond at $100,000 for a felony burglary with battery charges.
In addition, the Broward County judge ordered a mental health evaluation within 10 days of Brown’s release from jail, according to reports. AB lawyer Eric Schwartzreich says the former NFL’s star mental health isn’t a major factor.
“I don’t think there’s any mental health issues with him. Antonio Brown’s life right now is a reality show. He is misinterpreted and misunderstood. He’s not guilty of these charges. He did not commit a felony battery. In this case, when all the facts come out, you will see he will be vindicated and he will be found not guilty.”
