Mara Brock Akil Shows Love To Husband Salim Akil: Love Is Always Him
Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil are still going strong.
Mara Brock Akil, the brains behind shows like”Girlfriends” and “The Game”, shared a snapshot of Salim Akil Thursday (Feb. 6), with the caption,
“LOVE IS… always him. #InTheLandOf#DocumentingBlackHistory“
The two also celebrated the holiday season together.
The photos come more than a year after Salim Akil was hit wit sexual assault allegations.
Actress Amber Dixon first accused Salim Akil of sexual assault in 2018. She said they allegedly had sexual encounters that she didn’t consent to.
She also sued Mara and Oprah’s OWN in federal court for copyright infringement. She said Salim allegedly stole her screenplay and later turned it into OWN’s series Love Is, which was canceled after one season in 2018.
Salim has denied all allegations against him. He previously said,
“These allegations are deeply upsetting – but they are also totally untrue. We will defend Salim to the fullest against the false and offensive claims that a woman with whom he had a past relationship has included in multiple unsubstantiated lawsuits. Salim looks forward to clearing his name and to being able to focus on his work and his family.”
